Emirati newspaper Al-Roeya has indicated developmental projects are expected to be carried out in Egypt to achieve a long-term vision of revamping the economy through focusing on main six sectors of energy, tourism, agriculture, housing, mining and textile.
The plan targets involving all areas of Egyptian society in establishing a prosperous national economy, enhancing stability and security of the country, the newspaper added on Tuesday.
The projects will support the Egyptian comprehensive economic vision as well as assisting the government take required measures to reduce budget deficit.
According to the newspaper, the plan includes a package of reform that target increasing governmental revenues, reducing expenditure through US$10 billion developmental aid to Egypt, offering 600,000 jobs, allocating $1.5 billion to build around 50,000 housing units nationwide, 100 schools in 18 governorates, building and renovating wheat silos, 78 healthcare centers in 23 governorates and others.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi began an official visit to the UAE on Sunday.
